Our Policies

These are our main goals and policies - things we'll put in place.

Cheaper, faster, more efficient transport.

Currently, Aotearoa's public transport system is flawed. Separate travel systems in different regions, rail systems are limited, constant maintenance, etc.

We plan to put more electric vehicles on the road, cut down the amount of separate travel systems to keep it consistent and easy, and install light rail, especially in larger areas like Auckland and Wellington to speed up transport, increase reliability, carry more passengers, and greatly reduce emissions.

We also plan to make public transport more accessible through cheaper rides and more options to reduce cars on the road, once again, greatly reducing our emissions and keeping Aotearoa a clean and safe environment.

Along with this, we'll provide subsidies on electric vehicle purchases to promote and increase the number of electric vehicles on our roads.

Easily accessible and reliable healthcare.

Aotearoa's current health system is better than most countries, but still not perfect by any means.

There's long wait times, understaffed areas, and inequalities between minorities. Recently, the National Party has even revoked the smoking ban to regain the money they lose by lowering taxes, which has so far been a terrible idea, leading to more people in hospital for lung diseases, and more government money spent on our public healthcare system.

We plan to re-introduce the smoking ban, increase pay for nurses and doctors, and invest in better mental health services.

A safer, cleaner, better Aotearoa.

Aotearoa prides itself on being a clean, natural country, but there are still some things letting us down. Old, rusted sewage pipes breaking, inadequate waste management, etc.

Along with this, crime rates have been rising, especially in the younger generations and gangs, leaving many people feeling unsafe even in their homes. There's also serious concern about road safety, with recently increased crash and fatality rates on roads.

We plan to reduce this by increasing community policing, paying driving instructors more, and providing subsidies to safe drivers. We'll also invest money into our sewage and waste systems to prevent leaks and spillages.
